This weekend we took the kids to a state park called "Valley of Fire"-correctly named. Apparently the middle of July is not the best time to visit the park. We went anyway-it was only 110 degrees-cool really(if you stay in the car) We got out a couple times and let the kids climb in the rocks, and THEN we decided to go on a "little hike" less than 1/2 a mile round trip. Apparently, your kids can get heat stroke/exhaustion if you take them on said hike in 110 degree heat through red hot sand, next to blistering red hot rocks, and very little shade(and mom was in flip flops), in order to see a rock!! We totally get parents of the year! After cooling the children down, we did get to see some cool stuff, and then we drove to Lake Mead for a swim. Again, not to refreshing when the air is 110 and the water is warm, but the Kids LOVED the water!! Good Family times!

Perhaps you need to brush up on your basic nursing skills. First exhaustion from blood loss and now exhaustion from heat? Looks like lot of fun though!
